OUR COMPANY SAFETY PHILOSOPHY
Safety is an integral part of the way we conduct our business. It is extremely important to the daily operations of Independent Well Servicing Ltd. Our safety policy is there to protect our employees, our clients, the public, the environment and property as well.
Unsafe work practices and accidents carry many costs, the greatest of these being human costs. By protecting our employees, we are also protecting their families, co-workers and friends from the effects of the accidents. By doing this we also protect our clients, the public, and the environment from the negative effects of accidents.
Everyone employed by Independent Well Servicing Ltd. is responsible for maintaining our safety program. Managers and supervisors are responsible for identifying the safety needs, communicating safety hazards and investigating hazardous conditions and accidents. They also provide training, supply appropriate safety and personal protective equipment and ensure all equipment is properly maintained. All IWS equipment meets and exceeds legislated safety standards.
All employees and all others on company worksites are responsible for obeying all safety rules, following recommended safe work procedures and for using and wearing personal protective equipment when required. All employees are required to participate in safety training programs and to immediately inform supervisors of any unsafe work conditions. Never pass a fault! This safety vigilance is supported by all employees.

Since our company began in 2004, our Safety Program has been continually developed and expanded on an ongoing basis.
Our Safety Program is based on Energy Safety Canada’s Certificate of Recognition protocol. We obtained our Energy Safety Canada COR in 2008.
Our company and our crews have consistently attained high scores on our external Energy Safety Canada C.O.R. audits.
We are a member of the CAOEC (Canadian Association of Energy Contractors).
Our company is “ISNetworld”, “Complyworks” and “Avetta” compliant.
